July 15, 2021: Ambassador Makoto Nakagawa's participation in the presentation of the SPT mascot and of the official clothes of the Slovak team for the Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo

2021/12/9
On July 15, I participated in an event organized by the Slovak Paralympic Committee in the SPP Gallery, where the mascot of the Slovak Paralympic team "Toki" was introduced to the public and the media in addition to official clothing with Čataj village folklore motifs. Toki´s author is a talented 16-year-old student Patrik Čerňan from the Special Primary School on Mičurova Street in Bytča.

During the official part, video greetings were also heard in Japanese and Slovak from students from the city of Gifu addressed to Slovak Paralympians, who will start at the games in Tokyo. They were a great success with the audience. It is a pity that the pre-camp in this host city of the Slovak team was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic, thus losing the possibility of another direct encounter of Paralympians with the inhabitants of Gifu, but it was nice that the friendship persisted, either online or via digital media. I was fully aware of it and felt the desire of the people of Gifu, at least in such a way, to support the Slovak team and was sincerely grateful for it.
