June 8, 2021: Visit to the City of Nitra

On June 8, I visited the City of Nitra and paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of the Nitra Self-Governing Region, Mr. Milan Belica and the Mayor of Nitra, Mr. Marek Hattas.
Governor Belica explained me on the history of the Nitra region and the historic town of Nitra, and touched on the agricultural tradition and current economic development. We also discussed the importance and significance of the road and rail network.
At the meeting with Mayor Hattas, we exchanged views on the state of the pandemic and coronavirus vaccination in Nitra and Japan. We also touched on the topic of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
After the courtesy visits, accompanied by Mayor Hattas and representatives of the donor companies G-TEKT Slovakia, s.r.o. and SIIX EMS Slovakia s.r.o, I visited two localities where commemorative sakura trees were planted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of relations between Japan and the Slovak Republic. At the end, we were all photographed together to commemorate the event.
