June 1, 2021: Visit to Roman Mikulec, Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic

   On June 1, 2021, I paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Interior of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Roman Mikulec. We exchanged views on the recent easing of anti-pandemic measures, on the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and on the possibilities for cooperation between Japanese and Slovak police organizations. Minister Mikulec especially welcomed the fact that Japan will not consider Slovak Republic a pandemically dangerous country from June 4. He also welcomed the relaxation of some quarantine measures for travelers traveling from Slovakia to Japan.
