May 27, 2021: Meeting with the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Ms. Natalia Milanova

   On May 27, I paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Ms. Natalia Milanova. I thanked the Ministry of Culture for cooperation and support in the jubilee year 2020, in which we commemorated the 100th anniversary of relations between Japan and the Slovak Republic. I also mentioned the active cooperation of the Slovak Philharmonic and the Banská Bystrica State Opera with Japanese partners. H.E. Ms. Milanová outlined a very interesting idea how to present the history and culture of Slovakia to Japan through folk culture and dance. The meeting resulted in a very stimulating and meaningful discussion on both sides.
