May 5, 2021: Meeting with Mgr. Ivan Husár, State Secretary for Sports of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Slovak Republic

On May 5, I met Mgr. Ivan Husár, State Secretary for Sport of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. We exchanged views on the activities and efforts of the Ministry during the turbulent period of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as on the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games, which take place this summer in Tokyo.
For most of his career, the State Secretary Husár has been devoted to volleyball. He was the national team coach of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic cadets; he became the first national men's national team coach and he also worked as an assistant coach of the Czech national team at the World Championships in Japan.
It was very interesting and stimulating to hear opinions from the perspective of an athlete, coach and politician.
