The Embassy of Japan in Slovak Republic, Hlavné námestie 2, 813 27 Bratislava seeks an Assistant (Analyst) for Political and
Economic Section. This is full time hours position for fixed period from October 1st , 2026 until May 31st , 2027. (This is a temporary position to cover an employee on maternity/parental leave).
Job description:
Duties at the Political and Economic Section include assisting following programs and tasks:
(1) Follow, research, analysis, translation and reporting work in the area of- Slovak foreign and domestic policy;
(3) Other duties required by the Embassy.

Requirements for the employee
- University education
- Slovak nationality
Personality requirements and skills
- Excellent team working skills, with proven ability to build co-operative working relationships across a large network, including with external contacts.
- Dynamic, well organised, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- IT literacy for reporting work using Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Japanese language skills and experience of study/work in Japan are advantages.
